Yes, We Should Study Duck Penises

Some conservatives got some attention last week by alleging that the federal government is funding research into duck penises, by way of trying to demonstrate that many taxpayer dollars are wasted and that the sequester is therefore great because it might stop us from funding the study of duck penises.

PolitiFact got curious enough to look into it and decided to give it a "mostly true"--an evolutionary ornithologist at Yale named Richard Prum did indeed snare nearly $400,000 from the National Science Foundtion to study duck mating.

But if you read the item, I think you'll conclude with me that the whole matter is rather fascinating and just self-evidently deserving of human study:

Here, in Prum’s words, is what he studied and learned:

"Most birds don’t have a penis. Ducks do. They still have it from the reptilian ancestor that they shared with mammals," he said.

The duck’s penis is stored inside the body, and when it becomes erect, the process of insemination is "explosive," Prum said. The duck’s penis becomes erect within a third of a second, at the same time it enters the female duck’s body. Ejaculation is immediate, and then the penis starts to regress. The length of the duck penis, as mentioned in the tweets, grows to 8 or 9 inches during the summer mating season. In winter, it shrinks to less than an inch.

In duck ponds, Prum said, a lot of forced copulation occurs. Forced copulation is what it sounds like -- rape in nature. Even gang rape happens among ducks. And Prum found that while 40 to 50 percent of duck sex happens by forced copulation, only 2 to 4 percent of inseminations result from it (meaning times the female duck ends up with a fertilized egg).

"The question is why does that happen? How does a female prevent fertilization by forced copulation?" he said. "The answer has to do with taking advantage of what males have evolved -- this corkscrew shaped penis."

Prum said the duck penis is a corkscrew whose direction runs counterclockwise. Female ducks, he said, have evolved a complex vagina also shaped like a corkscrew -- but a clockwise one.

"This is literally an anti-screw anatomy," he said.

When females choose their own partners -- in other words, solicit copulation -- the muscles in the vagina are dilated and expanded. So the anti-screw effect is negated.

"The females are enormously, amazingly successful at preventing fertilization by forced copulation," he said.

So it turns out that Todd Akin was right, but only about ducks, not actual human women.

More broadly, three points. One, I had no idea cute little ducks were such violent (ahem) pricks. I'll never be able to look at them the same way. Two, this is obviousy knowledge the human race needs; we have these species of animals around us, and it's important to know how they live and survive, a knowledge that is important not for any application but simply for its own sake, and if you don't agree with this assertion, we live on different planets. The philistinism on display here--hey, duck penises, we can make fun of that--is depressing.

And three, the government has a clearly legitimate role to play in supporting such research. The idea that we shouldn't be funding duck mating is a total canard. Onward, Professor Prum!

Butea superba (Kwao Krua Dang) Benefits Overview

A species related to Pueraria mirifica, Butea superba is called locally “Kwao Kreu Dang” or Red Kwao Krua. Its name comes from the red sap which comes from the long tuberous root. Red Kwao Krua (Butea superba), is abundantly distributed in the Thai deciduous forest and has been popular among Thai males for the purpose of rejuvenation and increasing sexual vigor.

The tuberous roots of Thai Butea superba were found to contain flavonoid and flavonoid glycoside with cAMP phosphodiesterase inhibitor activity as well as sterol compounds, including b-sitosterol, campesterol and stigmasterol. A Thai traditional medicine with Butea superba as a major ingredient has long been accepted as an effective treatment of ED.

Erectile Dysfunction: Abstract from: Clinical trial of Butea superba, an alternative herbal treatment for erectile dysfunction.. W. Cherdshewasart, N. Nimsakul

Aim: To study the effect of Butea superba on erectile dysfunction (ED) in Thai males.

Methods: A 3-month randomized double-blind clinical trial was carried out in volunteers with ED, aged 30 years ~ 70 years, to evaluate the therapeutic effect of the crude preparation of Butea superba tubers on ED..

Results: There was a significant upgrading in 4 of the 5 descriptive evaluations of the IIEF-5 questionnaire. Estimation of the sexual record indicated that; 82.4 % of the patients exhibited noticeable improvement. Haematology and blood chemistry analysis revealed no apparent change.

Conclusion: The plant preparation appears to improve the erectile function in ED patients without apparent toxicity.

Hair-loss treatment: One small study shows a positive effect on male hair loss in combination with Saw palmetto. Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is characterized by the structural miniaturization of androgen-sensitive hair follicles in susceptible individuals and is anatomically defined within a given pattern of the scalp. Biochemically, one contributing factor of this disorder is the conversion of testosterone (T) to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) via the enzyme 5-alpha reductase (5AR).

The results of this pilot study showed a highly positive response to treatment. The blinded investigative staff assessment report showed that 60% of (6/10) study subjects dosed with the active study formulation were rated as improved at the final visit.

Prostate Health: In Europe, beta-sitosterol plays a major role in treatment of herbal therapy of benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) and prostatic carcinoma. The beta-sitosterol group showed a 7.4-point decrease in the International Prostate Symptom Score, compared to a decrease of only 2.1 points in the placebo group . . . a significant 3.5-fold improvement in the men taking beta-sitosterol.

Most remarkably, residual urine in the bladder decreased to 30.4 ml from 65.8 ml in the men using beta-sitosterol, a reduction of almost 54%! In the placebo group, residual bladder urine declined from 64.8 ml to 54.3 ml, a reduction of only around 16%.3 In a follow-up study that evaluated durability of response to beta-sitosterol, the beneficial effects for beta-sitosterol were found to be maintained during an additional 18 months of observation. Prostate health implications of the Asian super fruit cartenoid, FAK KHAAO (Gac fruit)

Cardiovascular health: Epidemiological studies show that genistein intake is inversely associated with the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Genistein protects against pro-inflammatory factor-induced vascular endothelial barrier dysfunction and inhibits leukocyte-endothelium interaction, thereby modulating vascular inflammation, a major event in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. Recent studies found that genistein exerts a novel non-genomic action by targeting on important signaling molecules in vascular endothelial cells (ECs). Genistein rapidly activates endothelial nitric oxide synthase and production of nitric oxide in ECs.

Osteoarthritis anti-inflammatory: Although most studies have focused on the cholesterol-lowering activity of stigmasterol, other bioactivities have been ascribed to this plant sterol compound, one of which is a potential anti-inflammatory effect. This study shows that stigmasterol inhibits several pro-inflammatory and matrix degradation mediators typically involved in OA-induced cartilage degradation, at least in part through the inhibition of the NF-kappaB pathway.

How can I make my vagina tighter naturally

Women all over the US are always looking for the best new way to take care of themselves and keep their body fit and healthy. It seems like on every corner there is a new gym, juice bar or organic food market. The USA is also the sixth biggest country in the world for cosmetic surgery per capita, showing we’re more willing to undergo that little nip and tuck to keep ourselves looking good and feeling great.

What you don’t see when you walk around the streets though, are options for women dealing with a more discreet problem – a loose vagina. It is an issue that many women understandably keep to themselves as they feel embarrassed or even ashamed by the problem.

While many women feel like they’re going through this alone, it is actually something that affects a lot of ladies, especially as they get older. Factors such as childbirth, other health issues and just getting older can lead to your vagina losing the firmness it had when you were younger.

The anxiety of talking about this issue leads to a lack of quality information on the subject, so when women are looking for solutions, they can be fooled by misleading or flat out incorrect claims. Unscrupulous vendors have taken advantage of this in the past to sell products that make unrealistic claims and, as is the case with creams using harsh chemicals, potentially dangerous.

Finally in 2017 we’re seeing more and more women willing to talk about their experience in dealing with this issue, which in turn is giving other women the best information about how they should deal with it themselves.

So what are the trends that women in the USA are using to tighten their vagina in 2017? Read on.

US Women Taking Cosmetic Vacations

While it isn’t for everyone, plastic surgery is still very popular in the US . Unfortunately, the cost of vaginal rejuvenation surgery can be quite high, so a lot of women here in the USA are choosing to have their surgery in other countries such as Thailand, Colombia and Mexico. The cost saving in some cases can be up to 80%, which can make all of the difference to someone who desperately wants this procedure.

The important thing when considering any surgery – and especially in foreign countries – is to do your research to make sure you’re getting safety and professionalism standards equal to those here in the US.

In 2017 Women In The USA Go Back To Nature

While surgical procedures are still a good option for many women, and are more advanced and safe than they’ve ever been, more and more women are turning to natural remedies to get that firmness back. Increasingly, women want to feel they can feel young again without going under the knife. Like women’s health in general, vaginal tightening solutions are trending towards more natural remedies.

Exercises

There’s a great range of exercise that can help you to tighten your vagina. From squats to kegel exercises and lunges. For kegel exercises in particular, there are a range of devices such as kegel balls and cones that you can buy that will greatly improve the quality of these exercises.

Natural Herbs

Another natural solution is using some herbs that have been known in some parts of the world to assist with firmness in and around your special area for hundreds of years. Herbs such as curcuma cumosa and pueraria pirifica are known to increase elasticity and also assist with vaginal dryness.

All Natural Creams

Unlike the harsh chemical creams available in years gone by, 2017 has seen a rise in products that are made of all natural ingredients (such as the herbs above) and are incredibly effective. You should still do your research to make sure you’re buying a good quality product as there are many fakes out there.

Combining a good all natural vaginal tightening cream with a good exercise program is the best way to get your firmness back in 2017.

Prisoner campaigns for sex dolls for 82,000 prisoners to release testosterone

metro.co.uk

Jack Swarez, 48, who was jailed for 17 years in 2012 for drug dealing, said that he came up with the idea after watching Sex Toy Secrets on Channel 4.

Writing in the latest edition of Inside Time, a prison magazine, he said that because they weren’t allowed conjugal visits, they should get sex dolls for good behaviour.

Swarez, who is at HMP Lowdham Grange, Nottinghamshire, said: ‘The trouble is, our prisons are full of young men filled with testosterone who would give their right arm for a bit of passion.

‘The frustration of this situation makes these young men restless and wanting to cause mischief.’

He pointed to the fact that some European countries allow conjugal visits, but it is unlikely that it would ever be accepted in the UK.

He added: ‘It might help to alleviate this ongoing problem and, in turn, help de-stress the wings of every establishment the length and breadth of our nation.

‘It came about when I was watching an documentary on Channel 4 that showed grown men who live with rubber, blow-up dolls. I noticed that all of these men looked very happy and stress-free.’

He even came up with a suggestion for their design: ‘There are companies who manufacture these doll women and if this idea is taken up, everyone who purchases one can send a photo of their loved one and have the company incorporate their features into the doll.’

On top of this, he believes they would provide companionship to inmates saying they could enjoy date nights and watch soaps together or listen to music.

Swarez, of Crosby in Merseyside, was jailed for 17 years in 2012 after Liverpool Crown Court heard how he was the ‘managing director’ of a drugs gang responsible for flooding the UK with heroin and cocaine.

Swarez pocketed £1.5m from his part in the gang, but was nabbed after cops mounted a surveillance operation – with the court hearing how cops caught the gang with nearly £4m worth of drugs.

The drugs seized included 9.25kg of heroin, 8.25kg of cocaine, 12kg of amphetamine and £37,000 in cash.

Awaiting comment from Ministry of Justice.

Has the Normalizing of Pedophilia Begun?

CNN hosts scientist who sympathizes with child predators claims 'brain's wiring' to blame

Do people who rape children, or fantasize about sexually abusing them, deserve sympathy – because they were born with the brains of pedophiles?

That’s the question a prominent scientist and a well-known anchor at CNN have asked in the wake of the recent Jerry Sandusky scandal.

CNN recently featured a story by James Cantor, a homosexual psychologist and scientist at the Sexual Behaviors Clinic of the Center for Addiction and Mental Health who serves as associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Toronto.

“It appears that one can be born with a brain predisposed to experience sexual arousal in response to children,” he wrote in his CNN piece.

He continued, “Cases of child molestation that involve long strings of victims over the course of years illustrate what can happen when someone gives in to, or outright indulges, his sexual interests, regardless of its potential damage on others. It is those cases that dominate headlines and provoke revulsion toward pedophiles.

“But they are rare. An untold number of cases merit sympathy.

“The science suggests that they are people who, through no fault of their own, were born with a sex drive that they must continuously resist, without exception, throughout their entire lives. Little if any assistance is ever available for them.”

According to the American Psychological Association, Cantor is passionate about the neurological underpinnings of sexual behavior and jokes, “I feel lucky to have found a way to stimulate my brain intellectually by indulging myself in thinking about sex all the time.”

He has studied the brains of male pedophiles using magnetic resonance imaging. Cantor explained his findings:

“Pedophilic men have significantly less white matter, which is the connective tissue that is responsible for communication between different regions in the brain. Pedophiles perform more poorly on various tests of brain function, tend to be shorter in height and are three times more likely to be left-handed or ambidextrous (characteristics that are observable before birth). Although nonbiological features may yet turn up to be relevant, it is difficult, if not impossible, to explain the research findings without there being a strong role of biology.”

He explains, from his experience with such individuals, that pedophiles act on their sexual urges and molest children “when they feel the most desperate.”

“Yet, much of what society does has been to increase rather than decrease their desperation,” he wrote.

In the U.S., Cantor notes, the focus tends to be on punishments invoked after sex abuse has taken place – rather than implementing social policies aimed at prevention.

“If it is the brain’s wiring that ultimately determines who will go on to develop pedophilia, can we detect it early enough to interrupt the process?” he asks. “Until we uncover more information, we will do more good by making it easier for pedophiles to come in for help rather than force them into solitary secrecy.”

Meanwhile, a CNN anchor chimed in to express sympathy for Sandusky, who was found guilty on 45 of 48 child sex-abuse charges after he molested at least 10 boys over a period of 15 years.

CNN’s Don Lemon, an open homosexual who has revealed he was molested as a child, interviewed Cantor about his findings. In that segment, he said:

“I know people are going to send me a lot of hate mail for this. I’ve never been one to take glee in anyone’s demise, and when I saw Jerry Sandusky walk out in handcuffs, I did kind of feel a bit sorry for him, even though I know the jury found him to do some horrific things, I was like ‘His life is over.’ All of these young boys, it was terrible for them as well. There are no winners.”

Meanwhile, some experts warn of a highly controversial campaign in recent years that seeks to sympathize with – and even normalize – pedophilia.

Just last year, Dr. Judith Reisman, the principal expert investigator for a U.S. Justice Department study on child sex abuse, said pedophilia advocates are using the same strategy that was successfully employed to make homosexuality a classroom subject for small children in the nation’s public schools.

As WND reported, Reisman attended a symposium held by the “minor-attracted people” advocacy group B4U-ACT to disseminate “accurate information” on the position that pedophilia is just one more alternative sexual orientation.

“If a foreign country came in and did this to our nation, the nation would be outraged,” Reisman said about the B4U-Act event, also attended by J. Matt Barber, vice president of Liberty Counsel Action.

The speakers urged the removal of pedophilia from the American Psychiatric Association’s list of mental defects in its Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

Reisman explained the same strategy was used by homosexual activists in the 1970s when same-sex attractions were removed from the APA’s list of disorders. Eventually, the legalization of “gay marriage,” the mandatory homosexuality lessons in public schools and the policy of allowing open homosexuality in the U.S. military resulted.

“Dr. John Sadler (University of Texas) argued that diagnostic criteria for mental disorders should not be based on concepts of vice since such concepts are subject to shifting social attitudes and doing so diverts mental-health professions from their role as healers,” the B4U-ACT organization said in a report about its symposium in Baltimore.

Another celebrity was Fred Berlin of Johns Hopkins who argued in favor of “acceptance of and compassion for people who are attracted to minors,” the report continued.

The report pointedly referred to “minor-attracted people” in reference to pedophiles and explained that the concerns can be resolved with “accurate information.” Richard Kramer, who represented B4U-ACT at the event, contended listing pedophilia as a disorder stigmatizes the “victims” of the lifestyle choice.

According to Barber, conference speakers said the Diagnostic Manual should “focus on the needs” of the pedophile and should have “a minimal focus on social control” rather than a focus on the “need to protect children.”

Barber, an ardent advocate for Judeo-Christian values and the traditional family, told WND the symposium was “the North American Man-Boy Love Association all dolled up and dressed in the credible language of the elitist Ph.Ds.”

NAMBLA openly advocates the legalization of sex between adults and children.

“This is a bunch of morally relative, highly educated people in the mental health community who are trying to achieve the ultimate in tolerance,” Barber said. “These are the people who are the disciples of Alfred Kinsey.”

It was in the 1940s and 1950s that sex “researcher” Kinsey published his writings ridiculing marriage, fidelity and chastity and preaching widespread sexual experimentation. But according to Reisman’s research, in “Sexual Sabotage,” Kinsey’s “research” was compiled from information frequently obtained from jailed sex offenders and then portrayed as coming from middle-class America.

Barber said the symposium themes became clear quickly:

Pedophiles are unfairly “demonized” in society.

The concept of “wrong” should not be applied to “minor-attracted persons.”

“Children are not inherently unable to consent” to sex with an adult.

“An adult’s desire to have sex with children is ‘normative.'” And the Diagnostic Manual “ignores that pedophiles ‘have feelings of love and romance for children’ the same way adult heterosexuals have for each other.”

Barber noted that self-described “gay activist” and speaker Jacob Breslow said it is proper for children to be “the object of our attraction.” Breslow said pedophiles shouldn’t need to get consent from a child to have sex any more than they would get consent from a shoe to wear it, according to Barber.

Berlin previously reported that 67 percent of pedophiles and child molesters relapse after being treated for the disorder. But the few who didn’t were tracked for a period of only two years, and any recidivism after that was unreported. And Reisman noted that even his success “stories” are anonymous and “wholly unverified.”

In a related commentary on WND, Reisman said, “The APA path to pedophile norms follows the success of the homosexual anarchy campaign. Arguably, the pedophile media lobby directed the passionate boy-boy kisses on the TV series ‘Glee,’ to enable fellow ‘minor-attracted persons’ to increasingly be seen as a boy’s sex ‘friend.’

“B4U-ACT claims to ‘help mental health professionals learn more about attraction to minors and to consider the effects of stereotyping, stigma, and fear.’ While the group claimed they want to teach pedophiles ‘how to live life fully and stay within the law,’ no one suggested how to stop their child lust or molestation,” she wrote.

However, in 2010, when Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, a senior Vatican official, linked homosexuality to child sexual abuse, Cantor rejected the claim that there is any link between homosexuality and pedophilia.

“It’s quite solidly shown in the scientific literature that there is absolutely no association between being a gay man and being a pedophile,” he told CNN.

Wife for sale: gone to the first bidder for £390

The Guardian

Kim Jeong-oh left her home in North Korea to start a new life across the Yalu river. Instead of finding a job, however, the 35-year-old was sold as a wife for £390. Along with countless others, she fled a devastating famine in her native town of Kimchaek on the advice of a guide who offered to arrange her passage to China.

But when Ms Kim arrived in the border town of Hyesan, the North Korean guide arranged to sell her to a wife-trader. "He promised to find me a factory job in China where I could earn 2,000RMB (£160) per month," she said. "I had no idea he was planning to sell me."

She and three other women waded across the shallow river and were met by a Chinese broker who paid 300RMB for each of them. They spent the next four days in a car parked in the mountains while their "owner" drove from village to village looking for buyers.

"I was sold to the first bidder for 5,000RMB," Ms Kim, whose name has been changed to protect her identity, said. "I don't know what happened to the other girls."

There is no shortage of men in need of a wife in the rustbelt of northeast China, where migrant workers labour far from home in thousands of tiny coal mines. Villages are emptying of young people who would rather seek their fortunes in the cities.

"There aren't enough women here," said a middle-aged local. "All the pretty girls leave to become prostitutes. For many men, a Korean wife is very desirable."

The practice of wife-buying is illegal but commonplace. Towns and villages from the border area to the city of Shenyang in Liaoning province are filled with tales of wife sales.

Not all go unwittingly into the marriage market. Food and shelter are considerable incentives, but the risks are immense. As illegal immigrants, the women can be arrested at any time and sent back to North Korea.

Ms Kim was picked up a year after getting married and giving birth to a daughter. Her new family pleaded for her release, arguing that the baby needed her mother because she was still breastfeeding. Ms Kim says they paid a 10,000RMB bribe for her freedom. Three years later she is well established and has a residence permit.

The trade in women is said to have fallen in the past two years as the food situation improves in North Korea and Chinese police crack down. But locals are adamant that the business continues.

The Science Of Your Vagina: Why Women Don’t Get ‘Looser’ After Sex

Ladies!

Ladies, ladies, ladies, listen up! You know what? Gentlemen! You listen up, too. We need to talk about something. I'll give you a hint: It rhymes with smaginas.

Vaginas. More specifically, we need to talk about loose vaginas. Or rather, the lack of looseness you all seem to be unaware of — the complete misconception that once a vag is stretched, it is stretched forever. Get your heads out of the dark ages!

So, it would appear there is ample confusion surrounding the idea of “loose” and “tight” women. So many wrong ideas. So. Many.

There are four main old wives' tales about the mysterious vagina, a flurry of myths far too many people believe as far as the whole tight/loose debate goes. They are the following:

1. A virgin's vagina is extremely tight.

2. If you lose your virginity, your vagina is going to be permanently loosened.

3. Having a lot of sex will make it super loose.

4. Having a baby makes having sex with your vagina the equivalent of throwing a pastor into a cathedral.

Apart from these myths and inconsistencies running rampant among the misinformed, there’s a bunch of other fallacies and misconceptions that go along with common vagina knowledge.

What is it about the vagina that makes it an elusive enigma trapped under the heavy cloak of socially-acceptable darkness? Why all the mystery? Why all the lies?

I'm over it. It's time to get educated. Without further adieu, let's get all of those pesky questions out of the way so you can know all there is to know about your lady organs. Party on.

Let's talk about the straight up anatomy involved with the vagina for a hot second

As Psychology Today suggests (and because I can't think of anything of an equal or less grotesque nature), when visualizing how the vagina works, picture the following:

Imagine a hand towel stuffed inside a thick sock squeezed by two hands. The sock is the vagina. The towel is the folded muscle tissue of the vaginal wall. And the hands are the pelvic floor muscles that surround the vagina.

That taut muscle tissue is very elastic, like a rubber band, and like a rubber band, when you stretch it out and let it snap, it will go right back to its original form.

The vagina is no different. It acts the same as the rubber band: when it is penetrated, it is temporarily stretched out and then returns to its normal state.

That means just because you've gotten a lot of man- (or dildo, vibrator — really whatever you're into) action doesn't mean you're going to mess up your vintage vag. Sexually adventurous ladies, rejoice!

Did I just blow your mind?

So, what happens when you're horny, baby?

Unlike your man, whose penis becomes erect like a soldier ready for battle when he's ready to get it on, the vaginal muscles relax when it's time to do the dirty.

Of course, when you think about it, this makes perfect sense because we, biologically, want to make it as simple as possible for an erection to enter us, you know, for baby making. (Yeah, I go into a cold sweat when I think about getting pregnant, too, you're not alone.)

BUT, listen closely, my pets, that does not mean your honey pot is going to be looser. It just means the muscles are relaxed to allow for sex to take place.

Remember that tight sock between two hands we talked about earlier? When your muffin is ready for the stuffin', the vagina becomes like a loosely-held sock. Get me?

What else happens? As Kinsey notes, the vagina also becomes naturally lubricated upon arousal, permitting easy penetration.

This happens because of the increased blood flow to your lady bits. So, you literally do become a little “hot and bothered.”

Can your Gyno tell how many people you've had sex with?

According to Dr. Rebecc a Brightman, private OBGYN and Assistant Clinical Professor of OBGYN at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and Dr. Dan Nayot, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist at TCART Fertility Partners, your gyno definitely cannot tell how many partners you've had sex with.

So, stop your worrying every time you stick your feet in those metal stirrups, lady.

Pregnancy, babies and the truth about your ability to bounce back (in the sack)

Having a baby is a pretty scary thing, anatomically, if you think about it for a minute. You're pushing a 7-10 pound creature out of your vagina.

It's not like any penis you’ve experienced is that big. (And if it was, well, that's another conversation you'll need to have on another day.) So, it's easy to think that giving birth would do a number on your vagina.

But, as it turns out, whatever stretching is involved will go unnoticed by your husband or baby daddy and it will return to normal within about six months.

As Dr. Brightman puts it:

Vaginal walls may be more lax after a pregnancy, particularly after a vaginal birth, but many partners won't be able to notice. If you give birth to a monster baby, you know, one that has one of those “how is that a newborn?!” heads — tighten yourself up a bit faster by doing Kegel exercises.

According to The Baby Center, regular Kegels don't just help restore your downstairs strength, but also strength in the anus and the urethra.

How to do Kegels: Simply take a page out of Samantha Jones' book and tighten and release your vagina for two minutes a day, three times a day.

What about pregnancy later in life?

As I've pointed out, the elasticity of the vagina can be equated to that of an elastic band.

Like an elastic band, pulled and snapped over and over for a long period of time, when you stretch a vagina, eventually it will lose some of its ability to bounce back with same strength as it did, say, in your early twenties.

So, there may be something said for choosing not to delay starting your family until your 30s or 40s. According to Psychology Today:

Many women delay childbearing until after 30, and some have children after 40. Combine the rigors of older childbearing with the effects of aging on the vaginal muscles, and many women complain of looseness.

Women who give birth after around 30 may notice persistent looseness after delivering only one child.

Again, the best remedy for this would be performing Kegel exercises.

It's important to note, however, that Kegels do not strengthen the vaginal muscles themselves (the sock inside the hands from our previous metaphor), but rather the pelvic floor (the hands that hold the sock).

This means your vagina itself is not getting tighter, it just feels tighter. It’s all the same though, right?

Using “looseness” as an excuse to skip your wax is just that, an excuse

A friend recently told me she forgoes waxing because she's afraid it will make her vagina less tight. This, my friends, is a myth. There is no scientific evidence to support this.

If you're skipping your regular waxing appointments because of some ridiculous fear your lady parts will suffer permanent expansion, you're just kidding yourself.

With that being said, waxing does hurt like a motherf*cker, so don't feel bad for ditching it because we all know it's completely miserable.

Own the fact that you refuse to put yourself through torture at astronomical prices — that's just reasonable.

Fun fact for the worriers: Anxiety can make you tighter

Anxiety makes the vaginal muscles contract even tighter. As Psychology Today points out, this is why young girls have issues with tampons and masturbation.

There's a certain amount of palpable guilt when it comes to self-exploration and inserting a tampon when you've never had anything up your lady hole before; it can be downright terrifying.

Ugh, currently having flashbacks to my parents’ downstairs guest bathroom when I decided I should get my sh*t together and stop using pads at the ripe age of 12.

A Penis Enlargement Technique That Works—And Is Only Kind of Terrifying

Things are looking up for guys in the market for a penis enlargement. It appears some researchers from Korea University have found a method that is actually effective—and you don't even have to reply to some sketchy spam email to get it. The results of their research were recently published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, and it turns out they used the same thing some ladies use for their faces, Restylane. After injecting Restylane into 50 men's penises, they found that there was average increase in circumference (or girth) of 4 cm. That increase still held 18 months later.

The procedure was definitely not without its drawbacks. It required them to use a "hefty" needle to inject an average of 20.5 cc of the Restylane, which is a little under an ounce, using "a back-and-forth technique" into the deep soft tissue layers of the penis. Ouch! But it didn't end there, "the product was then ‘homogenized with a roller.'"
